Pierre Richard-my favoritate comedy star

The comedic actor, Pierre Richard, is one of France's most popular actors in the early 1970s, and he is best remembered in the world for his starring in the zany French comedy Le Grand Blond Avec Une Chassure Noire (The Tall Blond Man With One Black Shoe) (1972) and it's sequel. Pierre Richard Maurice Charles Leopold Defays was born and raised in a rich, upper-class family. He began his career in Paris, the Paris Music Hall. He made his style debut in Alexandre le Bienheureux (1967). In his subsequent career, Richard frequently cooperated with Aldo Maccione, and most notably with Gerard Depardieu, in such features as La Chevre (1981), Les Comperes (1984), and Les Fugitifs (1987). He made his directorial debut with Le Distrait (The Daydreamer) (1970)and also he wrote the screenplay for it. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi. Also Richard is a film director and occasional singer.
Richard began his acting career in the theater, the place where he worked with  Antoine Bourseiller and acting in paris cabarets(l'écluse),where he cooperated with Victor Lanoux.
In 1967,His first film came with a small role in Yves Robert's Alexandre le bienheureux. In 1970,He directed his first feature with Le Distrait. He cooperated with Robert again on Le grand blond avec une chaussure noire, and its sequel Le retour du grand blond; both those films were developed  by Francis Veber.During the 1980s,Veber cast Richard when he directed his own first feature film: Le Jouet. Veber and Richard had a long and successful partnership, standing out by three comedies — La Chèvre, Les Compères, Les Fugitifs. In addition,the Goat (1981), and The Fugitives (1986) are also his great works.Then Richard moved behind the camera again to direct On peut toujours rêver (1991) and Droit dans le mur (1997).


In 2006,Pierre Richard received a lifetime achievement César Award from the Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinema.
Richard is not only France’s supreme farceurs in the classic traditional so he is a wine grower. His 20-hectare vineyard produces 80,000 bottles a year, including some 12000 bottles of rosé under the "le Bel évêque" label. And Richard owns a restaurant in Paris, Au pied de chameau.
He lives on a barge on the Seine in the middle of Paris. He has two sons, both of them are musicians: his elder son Olivier plays the saxophone with the group "Blues trottoir'" and his younger son Christophe plays the double bass.
For his marriage, he Married and divorced three times.
